The difference between hot rolled and cold rolled galvanized sheet

339 次浏览

Among the many galvanized sheet transactions, cold-rolled substrates are common, while hot-rolled substrates are relatively rare. So, what are the differences between hot-rolled substrates and cold-rolled substrates galvanized products?

  1. Cost

Since the hot-rolled base plate has one less process flow than the cold-rolled base plate, the manufacturing cost of the hot-rolled base plate galvanized sheet is lower than that of the cold-rolled galvanized sheet. Mainly the cost of quenching and cold rolling, and the other processes are similar.

  1. Quality characteristics

Since the hot-rolled substrate only undergoes pickling passivation and quenching to eliminate surface residues, its surface is not smooth and the zinc layer has better adhesion. The coating thickness is more than 140g/m2. However, the thickness specification is not as accurate as cold rolling.

  1. Main purpose

Hot-rolled galvanizing is not as good as cold-rolled galvanizing because of its size, precision and surface quality, and its thickness is thicker than cold-rolled galvanizing, so it is often suitable for structural prefabricated components with low surface requirements but high compressive strength and thickness. Such as fully automatic washing machines, refrigerators and other household appliances parts, automobile internal parts, highway guardrails, cold drawn steel, etc.

  1. Model

The popular models of hot-rolled galvanized sheet are DD51DZ, HD340LADZ, HR420LA, HR550LA, etc.

The cold rolled galvanized sheet is matched with DC51DZ, HC340LAD, HC340LA, HC420LA, HC550LA, etc.
